A Class of Discovery
Exploration is a key factor of your child’s development. Here in Class One, the children have the opportunity to discover and develop their knowledge, skills and understanding on a daily basis, without even realising they are learning!
We use an on-line learning journal that both staff and parents can contribute to, making your child’s education truly collaborative. As a school, we get to see your child’s interests at home and as a parent, you are regularly updated on your child’s progress and learning opportunities in school. This makes it possible to tailor each child’s educational needs to a very personal and specific degree, ensuring that your child makes the maximum progress possible.
Read our regular newsletters below to find out what we’ve been up to and what we will be doing each half term.

National Bookstart Week
We have been celebrating National Bookstart Week and have taken part in lots of ‘fishy’ activities to go with the theme, Under the Sea. We were so pleased to see so many parents join in, including: a visit from Harrison’s mummy and daddy to teach us more about creatures that live in the sea around Plymouth; a trip to the National Marine Aquarium with help from some of our parents; a story and craft day where parents were able to come and join in with story time and papercraft, music and cookery activities; a teddy bears’ sleepover where parents brought their children with their teddies to enjoy bedtime stories, hot chocolate and cookies before tucking the teddies in for the night.
