Class Four
A Class of Preparation
Class Four builds on the training of the other classes and is responsible for preparing the children for transition into secondary education.
The children are taught to be responsible for the ‘tools of their trade’ and are expected to be prepared to engage wisely and efficiently in their learning. Dedication to their studies is encouraged and it is understood that learning does not end with the school day, and quality, personal study at home is expected.
World War II - The Blitz
Over the past few weeks, Class 4 have been learning about WWII. So far, we have learnt about the events leading up to the start of the war, evacuation, the Blitz and rationing.
Below, you can see some of the non-chronological reports about the Blitz we have written. After reading about Carrie’s War and Anne Frank’s Diary, we took a huge interest in all aspects of the Second World War. We even designed some of our own evacuation posters and wrote letters as if we were the evacuees.
