Class One homework support
Here are some ideas to further support your child's learning.
Reception children
This week in Class One we are thinking about how we write stories. We are using story cubes for inspiration but pictures are another good place to start. Encourage your child to write a sentence about a picture in their favourite book. They should remember to use a capital letter at the beginning, a full stop at the end, finger spaces between their words and they should think about the sounds they can hear in the words they write.
In Numeracy, we are practising our counting and ordering skills. We are going to be practising counting out a set number of objects from a larger group. We will also talk about numbers and their order using language such as before, after, smaller, bigger, next to, in between.
Thank you.
