Aerial Hoop
Aerial Hoop
Aerial Hoop is taught in the school hall on Thursday lunchtimes and is run by Mrs Rowe.
'The aerial hoop is a circular steel apparatus (resembling a hula hoop) suspended from the ceiling, on which circus artists may perform aerial acrobatics. It can be used static, spinning, or swinging.'
Mrs Rowe has been teaching aerial hoop as a lunchtime club for the past two years. The pupils really enjoy the challenge of learning something completely different, learning new moves and making up their own combinations and routines. Aerial hoop, as well as being both fun and visually exciting, works both strength and flexibility in addition to co-ordination and balance. The club is very popular as pupils rapidly see progress and are often amazed and delighted at what they can do.
